Team Scotland parades its muscle with help of Volvo Trucks19 August 2014

Team Scotland's top athletes from the Commonwealth Games took part in a parade recently through the city of Glasgow, on a fleet of five Volvo FH trucks.

The lead truck, a new series FH 6x2 tractor, was supplied by Volvo Truck and Bus Centre North & Scotland, Cardonald. The other four vehicles were Classic FHs, supplied by Volvo's used trucks division.

The parade took place on the evening of 15 August and was organised by Sport Scotland as a finale to the Games.

Arne Knaben, managing director for Volvo Trucks, said the company and its dealers were honoured to be chosen for the event, adding: "I know our trucks are only playing a minute supporting role in the overall perspective of the Games, however it is a role we are very proud to play and humbly accept."
