Telematics clinches Citroen van deal for Jones Lang Lasalle 04 November 2013

International property management company Jones Lang Lasalle (JLL) has taken delivery of 77 Citroën Berlingo HDi 75 manual L1 625 LX vans and 21 Dispatch HDi 90 manual L2H11200 vans.

JLL's Karen Ainge says the firm evaluated several brands, looking at capital and whole life costs, before choosing Citroën.

The Berlingo's standard Citroën Trafficmaster telematics system clinched the deal, she says.

This includes Smartnav intelligent satellite navigation and Trackstar stolen vehicle tracking. JLL has upgraded this to include Fleet Director real-time fleet management, also giving drivers a fully integrated PDA communication system.

"The Fleet Director real-time communication system has helped us move our engineers away from form filling to using time-efficient and fully connected PDA systems," comments Ainge.

"Fleet Director made this an easy move for JLL, as it meant we did not have to fit additional hardware into the vehicles," she adds.

The Berlingo vans have been fitted with rear parking sensors and half height bulkheads with upper mesh grilles. Meanwhile, the Dispatch vans have rear parking sensors and full steel bulkheads. All were kitted out with bespoke Bott racking and tooling.

The 98-van order was supplied by Luton dealer Perrys Fleet Direct, on 36-month/90,000 mile maintenance contract hire agreements.

The vehicles will be used by JLL's service engineers who look after building maintenance for the HSBC UK banking network.
