Temperature-controlled transport show hots up15 July 2013

Visitors to the Temperature Controlled Storage & Distribution exhibition (TCS&D 2013), at the Peterborough Arena 18—19 September 2013, should find a host of ways to save costs in the cold supply chain, according to the event organiser.

The show promises the largest collection of refrigerated vehicles under one roof in the UK, as well as a wealth of other products and services for chilled and frozen logistics.

First-time exhibitor SMI will show its new range of thermal barriers for use on temperature-controlled delivery vehicles. Manufactured from SMI's lightweight Tempro insulated material, the barriers are designed to reduce loss of chilled air and protect from incoming ambient air during loading and unloading.

Meanwhile Commercial Body Fittings is to display a six-rung version of its new Escalier range of truck-mounted ladder and access steps, featuring double automatic handrails that retract when stowed. All models in the range are supplied with a robust galvanized finish.

Then chilled and frozen vehicle conversion and body-building specialist The Cold Consortium will be temperature-controlled conversions.

Among its exhibits will be a Vauxhall Movano twin-temperature conversion fitted with a JR Industries mattress bulkhead and a refrigeration system, developed jointly with Webasto UK.
