Terberg launches Telstar all in one multi-service vehicle 20 August 2015

Terberg Fire & Rescue is to launch Telstar (Terberg Emergency Life-saving Support Tactical Ancillary Rescue) vehicle at this year’s Emergency Services Show (ESS – NEC, Birmingham 23—24 September 2015).

Telstar is based on an extra-long wheelbase Mercedes Sprinter 5-tonne chassis, and combines a Terberg collaborative body with joint firefighting and paramedic first response equipment.

At the rear of the truck is a full-specification ambulance compartment, with self-loading stretchers and all medical support requirements.

The middle compartment houses firefighting equipment, including a Hale HPX75 pump, a 60m hose reel and 500 litres of water, together with breathing apparatus and cutting equipment.

Telstar has also been designed to carry four crew and other configurations of Telstar are being promised to meet individual fire service requirements.

According to Alisdair Couper, managing director of Terberg DTS, the new vehicle has been designed to provide both fire service and first co- response ambulance support,

Telstar, he says, provides a safe haven for emergency services, giving an effective response to callouts requiring combined fire and ambulance response.

"We have developed a reputation for providing the emergency services with a one-stop shop for both fire vehicles and firefighting equipment," comments Couper.

"The new product line-up at ESS is testament to the ongoing development of our 2015 portfolio of products, with the continuous development of exciting, innovative new equipment for the industry."
