TJ Hood picks Krone Profi Liners for quality and flexibility 17 November 2015

Haulage and warehousing firm TJ Hood Transport has extended its fleet with Krone’s Profi Liner curtainsiders, which, says the operator, enable faster, more flexible and more secure loading.

The curtainsiders are specified with sliding roofs and come with Krone’s Multi-Lock loading system, which has up to 130 strapping points along each side rave.

“The flexibility of these trailers is key to our operation,” says TJ Hood’s Mark Hood (pictured).

“The loading access is good and, with so many strapping points on either side, we can safely secure all types of cargo at any point along the trailer bed, which is ideal for groupage and mixed loads. Also, we can hook and un-hook from inside the closed curtain which is a benefit for the drivers.”

The Crumlin, Belfast-based business operates a mixed fleet of Euroliners, vans, flatbeds, low loaders, container carriers and 7.5-tonne curtainsider trucks with tail-lifts.

“It’s important for us to keep a modern and diverse fleet,” adds Hood. “That way, we remain competitive and can be confident in providing a reliable and efficient service.

“These latest trailers from Krone match our requirements and the code XL certification that comes with them is a significant tick in the quality box.”
