TomTom launches new driver terminals to “revolutionise” fleet management25 September 2014

TomTom Telematics has launched a new range of driver terminals, which it is showcasing at the IAA Commercial Vehicle Show, in Hanover (25 September to 2 October 2014).

The PRO 8 series, says TomTom, will "revolutionise" the impact of fleet management on the wider business processes for all industries.

The driver terminals are connected to Webfleet, TomTom's 'cloud'-based fleet management platform, and integrate data captured in the field into back-office business systems, so enabling better transport manager decision making.

The terminals can be customised with apps to further digitise workflow processes. Applications such as vehicle checks, proof of delivery, question paths and barcode scanning can be integrated.

The new PRO 8 series is based on the TomTom Bridge, the device platform that is compatible with TomTom Webfleet.

It alos offers additional integration capabilities for customised apps using the new PRO.connect API, and comes with a ready-to-use mobile device management platform.
