Tor Trucks bags shiny sponsorship deal with Fleetwatch30 June 2016

Commercial vehicle livery business Fleetwatch, part of PPG, has signed a deal with Tor Trucks to sponsor it for the British Truck Racing Championship 2016.

The British Truck Racing Championship has been running for more than 25 years, taking place at circuits in England, Wales and Germany.

The races feature twin-axle tractor units, based on series production trucks with major performance modifications – engines are turbocharged, producing 1,200bhp and speeds of up to 100mph.

Shane Brereton, owner of Tor Trucks – who has just won a race in Pembrey – says: “The support of PPG and FleetWatch will enable us to present the truck to the highest standard of finish. I am really excited to have the opportunity to be part of the British Truck Racing Championship and look forward to bringing home more victories as the season continues.”

Sarah Allen, of PPG Refinish, adds: “We are delighted to see our brand showcased on the truck, while also providing PPG paint systems to ensure a high quality finish to the Tor Trucks racing machine.

“We are really looking forward to seeing Shane and the truck in action promoting the PPG and FleetWatch brand on track.”

The next race is at Nurburgring on 1-3 July.
