Transdev starts first long-distance trial of BYD electric coach in France08 February 2019

Bus and coach operator Transdev has taken delivery of a BYD 13-metre all-electric coach for a trial in the Hauts-de-France region, in France.

The vehicle was handed over at an event in Beauvais this week (5 February), where BYD France has a new assembly plant for electric buses.

Two BYD buses have been operating in Beauvais since December, but this is the first long-distance service for the manufacturer’s electric vehicles.

The fully electric coach runs twice a day between the bus stations of Beauvais and Compiègne, through Clermont station, on a return route of 120km, a total of 240km per day.
