Travis Perkins rolls out Microlise electronic proof of delivery 14 October 2015

Builders merchant giant Travis Perkins is rolling out Microlise’s electronic proof of delivery system on Android across some 2,150 devices across its massive delivery fleet.

Mark Blackburn, programme manager at Travis Perkins, says the deployment is part of an ongoing strategy to deliver ‘on-time, in-full’ reporting functionality to track where and when customer promises are not being met.

“Following deployment, the Microlise proof of delivery technology has been positively received by our delivery staff and drivers,” comments Blackburn.

“As well as providing consistent paperless tracking of deliveries, it also works with our route planning tool to optimise fuel consumption and reduce environmental impact,” he continues.

“The objective is always to improve the experience for our customers and this deployment is a first step in our larger business strategy of continued development.”

The new implementation is being utilised by several of Travis Perkins’ businesses and brands, including Keyline, CCF, Benchmark and CPS, operating everything from vans to large heavy goods vehicles.
