Upgrade for heavy duty diesel oil07 March 2014

Q8Oils has released an upgraded version of Q8 T910, a high-performance synthetic heavy duty diesel oil which, it says, will enable fleet operators to rationalise on one multi-vehicle engine oil.

The first generation of the oil was formulated for Euro 4 and Euro 5 diesel engines fitted with a diesel particulate filter or catalytic treatment system that required ACEA E6. It could also be used in ACEA E7 applications.

Now, the T910 oil has been reformulated to meet ACEA E9, API CJ-4 and JASO DH-2 specifications.

OEM performance levels have also been upgraded to include Mercedes-Benz 228.31, Volvo VDS-4, Renault RLD-3/RGD, Mack EO-O PP, Cummins CES 20081 and Caterpillar ECF-3.

The upgraded product has improved detergency and dispersancy properties, so helps to optimise engine performance and, says Q8Oils, can boost fuel economy by 1.36%.
