First unveiled at the IAA Show in Hanover last year, the Westlake range is for light and heavy commercial vehicles (trucks and trailers). Products are available for four applications – long haul, regional, mixed service and max load – and come in 17.5, 19.5 and 22.5 rim diameters.
The WTX1 'max load' tyre, for example (pictured), is designed for use on heavy load trailers. It features special sipes alongside tread ribs, to minimise heat when running at high speed with heavy loads.
"We are very excited about the new tyre range because it not only comes with a premium quality badge from one of the world's leading manufacturers, but also fits perfectly with a wide range of UK and European fleet applications," says Dave Alsop, Vacu-Lug's sales director.
Vacu-Lug is also distributing Westlake's light commercial vehicle range of van tyres.
