Volvo Group merges Volvo and Renault truck operations in Warwick 09 July 2015

Volvo Group Trucks UK & Ireland has announced a reorganisation at its head office in Warwick, aimed at “strengthening the business and streamlining operations”.

The new organisation finally merges the Renault Trucks and Volvo Trucks support functions, while maintaining separate commercial functions to represent the interests of both brands.

Arne Knaben, Volvo Group managing director since April this year (2015), says the changes are being introduced to support a new, multi-brand focused Renault and Volvo truck sales, aftermarket and marketing organisation.

Nigel Butler and Mike Corcoran will lead development and growth of the Renault and Volvo truck brands respectively in the UK and Ireland in their roles as commercial directors.

Aftermarket and customer support will be directed by Tony Davis, and Ian Wrench, as retail development director, will take responsibility for developing the separate dealer networks.

Amanda Hiatt (pictured) is appointed marketing director Volvo Group Trucks UK & Ireland, responsible for new and used truck marketing, BRS contract hire and truck rental, aftermarket marketing, product marketing and media relations for all brands.

"The organisational changes we have put in place, demonstrate that our emphasis is firmly on delivering quality and cost effective transport solutions to our customers," comments Knaben.
