Glen Marshall, managing partner for the Leighton Buzzard-based operator, says the firm is looking to standardise its 41-strong fleet with one marque. "We have always been extremely happy with the service we receive from Volvo, and this made choosing the Volvo B11R Euro 6 for our two new coaches an easy decision."
Its latest additions are specified with the D11K 430bhp Euro 6 engine, with 12-speed I-Shift gearbox.
SMS X Trav, of Towcester, has also selected a 53-seater Euro 6 B11R for its reliability and performance.
"We are not only pleased with the operational performance of our new vehicle, but also the aesthetic appearance of the Sunsundegui SC7 bodywork – the Volvo driveline specification is second to none and the build quality is also excellent," says transport manager Jon Sewell.
Also key to the decision, he adds, is the aftermarket service and support delivered by Volvo Truck & Bus Milton Keynes.
