Workshop cuts costs for commercial vehicles, with Haweka 02 February 2012

Derbyshire-based workshop tIM Commercial Vehicle Services says it is cutting its customers' running costs by reducing tyre wear and fuel costs.

The Ilkeston commercial vehicle service company bought a Haweka Axis4000 camera wheel alignment system after seeing a demonstration of the equipment in its workshop.

Dave Williams, group fleet manager at tIM, says that the aligner enables real-time, accurate and fast measurements on almost all types of commercial vehicles, including small vans.

"We had been looking at alignment equipment for a while before Haweka contacted us about the Axis4000," he says.

"The main reason for purchasing the Axis4000 is that all the relevant vehicle data can be quickly input and displayed, enabling fast adjustments when undertaking servicing and PDI work," he continues.

"The aligner is being used about three times a week and is easy to operate... The equipment has been a very worthwhile investment for tIM's."
