Earned Recognition: get prepared for digital compliance partner content20 April 2021

The DVSA Earned Recognition scheme is set to become the ultimate badge of honour for an operator that puts safety and best practice first.

As a government accredited ‘exemplary operator’ companies will be trusted to manage their own compliance without the usual level of enforcement scrutiny.

Earned Recognition accredited operators will need a system to report digitally although it’s not just about reports; the right system will ensure good practice so that meeting the compliance standard simply becomes an assured outcome.

By April 2022 the DVSA will expect scheme members to submit ‘fully electronic’ maintenance KPI returns – with details entered directly onto an electronic device such as a tablet, laptop, smartphone or similar, at the time of the inspection.

This video gives an overview of Earned Recognition and explains how Freeway Fleet Systems has developed a solution as part of a complete maintenance management solution to ensure compliance is right on track from start to finish.

Freeway is also offering free consultations to help bus and transport operators prepare for Earned Recognition. Find out more at www.freewayfleet.com/solutions/dvsa-earned-recognition
