Ferryspeed expands trailer fleet with Carrier’s Vector MT units20 October 2017

Portsmouth-based freight operator Ferryspeed has expanded its fleet with 10 new trailers, specified with Carrier Transicold’s Vector 1950 multi-temperature (MT) refrigeration units.

Mounted to 13.6-metre Gray & Adams trailers, the Vector 1950 MTs will assist Ferryspeed’s import and export operations to and from the Channel Islands, then onwards to distribution centres across the UK, transporting a range of ambient and temperature-controlled goods, including food, beverage and pharmaceutical products.

Robin Sykes, general manager of Ferryspeed, says: “We opted for Carrier’s most powerful multi-temperature trailer units to give us maximum flexibility and to ensure we can offer our customers precise cold chain control.”

The units are specified with everCOLD, Carrier’s full service, R&M package which includes annual temperature control testing and certification, regulatory checks and access to oneCALL 24/7 support. Maintenance will be performed by Carrier Transicold Southern, a network service partner.
