Oakleaf European takes first Paneltex refrigerated box body 21 April 2011

Fine food specialist Oakleaf European has taken delivery of a MAN 4x2 12-tonne rigid specified with its first Paneltex 5.8m refrigerated box body.

"We chose Paneltex because of their reputation for high standards of workmanship, as well as their ability to supply the bodywork to ATP specification, which is now standard across all our fleet," comments Oakleaf's Patrick Mulhall.

The single compartment bodywork includes a Carrier Supra 550 diesel over-cab refrigeration system, which maintains an internal temperature of +5° C.

With the MAN rigid being specified with an XL sleeper cab for, Paneltex had to revise the body specification, designing a recess for the refrigeration unit to ensure that European height restrictions were adhered to.

The body has triple rear doors as well as a personnel access side door to the nearside of the truck. It also has a Ratcliff RPT 1007F tuckaway tail lift, for urban deliveries and palletised drops, as well as a CCI Transcan logger.
