Petro-Canada launches campaign website for PC-1112 May 2016

Petro-Canada has launched a campaign website to explain the implications behind this December’s introduction of PC-11 heavy-duty diesel engine oils – the “biggest step change that the North American heavy-duty market will experience”, according to the company.

The campaign, entitled ‘Here Comes the Future’, explains the benefits possible to fuel economy, emissions reduction and engine protection.

The website describes the development of the PC-11 specification, the latest news and developments, and has an FAQ section.

“PC-11 is the biggest step change that the North American heavy duty market will experience, and we have received many questions about what this will mean for businesses in a practical sense,” says Howard McIntyre, vice president of lubricants at Suncor, Petro-Canada’s parent company.

“This is not only an opportunity to improve the efficiency and carbon footprint of heavy-duty vehicles, but also a chance to recognise the potential to cut costs and increase the profitability of operations.

“As with all business decisions, clear understanding and early adoption could result in a genuine competitive edge.”
