Sentinel to introduce next-gen CV reversing aids at RWM 08 August 2016

Commercial vehicle safety specialist Sentinel Systems is to launch what it describes as new generation of reversing radar systems at the RWM Exhibition (13—15 September 2016, NEC, Birmingham).

Based on Sentinel’s patented auto-braking reversing system, the new generation is claimed to offer improved performance resulting from more advanced radar sensors and software.

The system is installed at the rear of a vehicle and is designed to detect obstructions such as buildings, objects or people while the vehicle is reversing.

The radar then audibly warns the driver of the obstruction, can physically stop the vehicle in its tracks. Once the obstruction has passed, the system resets itself and allows the driver to resume their manoeuvre.
