Bath bus operator goes Solo for new Euro VI fleet10 December 2018

Bus operator First West of England, a subsidiary of FirstGroup, has taken delivery of nine slimline Optare Solos to use on its routes in Bath.

The 8.5m, 23-seater Euro VI Optare Solos have seatback USB charging points and their compact size makes them ideal for the narrow streets in the city.

James Freeman, managing director of First West of England, says: “These new-look vehicles feature the latest Euro VI clean diesel engine as part of our commitment to improve air quality around Bath, and the new branding, design and features such as USB charging are designed to encourage people out of their cars and on to the bus, reducing congestion and improving air quality in Bath.”
