The operator is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year and, says owner Ian Butler, “we decided to treat ourselves and purchase these two Volvo vehicles. We also have a new livery design for 2017, which coincides with this significant milestone.”
The company has purchased a mix of Volvo vehicles in the past, but this is the first time it has selected an integral B11R 9700.
The new additions are each equipped with a six-cylinder, 10.8-litre Euro 6 engine delivering 430bhp at 1,800 rpm, and are supplied through dealer McCarthy Commercials.
“We chose to go with Volvo because we were very impressed with the high quality interior and comfort on offer for passengers,” adds Butler.
“Our drivers will also appreciate the many additional comforts on board, which make the vehicles a great working companion and easy to live with day to day.”
