CLOCS aiming at win-win for industry awards15 May 2015

CLOCS – Construction Logistics and Cyclist Safety – has been shortlisted for two industry awards, with its safety aims and its partnership with Transport for London both coming to the judges’ attention.

TfL's partnership with the CLOCS operator delegation has been shortlisted for Motor Transport's Partnership award, the winner of which will be announced at a ceremony in London on 1 July. The CLOCS operator delegation aimed to stimulate the production of safer construction heavy goods vehicles, with al- round direct vision.

The following day, 2 July, CLOCS is a finalist in the Constructing Excellence awards, where it features in the health and safety category for London and the South East. Should it win this regional category, CLOCS will then proceed to the national health and safety award, the winner of which will be announced later the same evening.

"Both awards are prestigious in their respective fields, with judging panels made up of experienced and influential individuals from across the road transport and construction industries," says John Hix, CLOCS project director.

"For CLOCS to be recognised in both sectors is testament to the progress that has been made since its formation in 2013 and we are excited about the opportunity this presents to broaden awareness of the initiative nationwide."
