Commercial Vehicle Hydraulics celebrates 30 years of trading09 November 2021

Derbyshire’s Commercial Vehicle Hydraulics is the sole UK distributor of OMFB, supplying equipment for tipping gears, tankers, cranes, hooklifts/skiploaders and recovery vehicles.

The company is headed by Philip Waterfall, who served with the Harrison Line Royal Fleet Auxiliary (merchant navy) before setting up the operation in 1991 in the stores area of dealer Sherwood Commercials, at that time owned by his brother Terry. Their father Derek Waterfall owned operator Alfreton Transport.

The company continues to develop. In March, Waterfall appointed Carl Hinds as managing director of the company. He came from a key player in tipping gear and hook/skiploading manufacturing.

Philip Waterfall said: “Carl was an excellent choice for CVH. Not only has Carl been a customer to CVH for 30 years, his industry knowledge and experience will be invaluable to help take CVH on for its next 30 years.”
