Ford goes live with Transit celebrations07 May 2015

Ford will be staging a series of events at its Transit Centres from 16-25 May, as part of the model’s 50th anniversary celebrations.

The 'Transit Show Live' events will showcase the latest technologies and features in the Transit commercial vehicle range, as well as the Fiesta van and Ranger pick-up.

"At Transit Show Live, customers will see our new showrooms and learn about the fantastic technologies such as Lane Keeping Aid and Ford SYNC, which won a Euro NCAP Advanced rewards for technology on the Transit Custom – the first for any commercial vehicle," says Terry Rayner, Transit Centres director.

Other technology systems on display will include: Ford Telematics; Load Adaptive Control, which senses the weight carried in the vehicle and adjust braking inputs via the Electronic Stability Control; and SYNC with Emergency Assistance, enabling drivers to use voice commands for MP3 players, Bluetooth-enabled phones and USB Drives.

Emergency Assistance automatically calls the emergency services on a paired Bluetooth-enabled phone if the airbag is deployed or the fuel pump deactivated.
