FORS and Mercedes feature at Construction event 12 October 2015

FORS (Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme) Gold accredited operator CEMEX demonstrated its novel Mercedes-Benz Econic tipper truck at last week’s annual Construction Week exhibition, at the NEC in Birmingham.

The innovative low entry cab tipper offers an estimated 90% better visibility than a conventional high chassis construction tipper, giving drivers a wide field of vision via its panoramic windscreen and fully glazed floor-to-ceiling kerbside door.

FORS was joined by the DVSA (Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency) and CLOCS (Construction Logistics and Cycle Safety) at the annual construction exhibition.

Glen Davies, freight and fleet programme manager for TfL (Transport for London), who spoke at the recent IRTE annual conference, told delegates at the exhibition about London’s safer trucks campaign and work-related safe driving.
