FSL delivers aid truck to Ukraine 07 September 2022

Fleet Service Limited (FSL) of Preston has delivered a repurposed humanitarian aid truck that will provide protected transport for the movement of displaced people within Ukraine.

FSL’s modifications to the Mercedes Actros included fitting uprated armour materials supplied by UK-based specialist ASL.

The vehicle arrived safely in Ukraine, carrying relief supplies to the northwest province of Volyn.

Governor of Volyn Yuriy Pohulyaiko posted a message on Facebook that has also been translated by FSL:

“Volyn received humanitarian aid from the United Kingdom

An armoured vehicle for the Armed Forces of Ukraine and humanitarian aid for internally displaced persons in the area were delivered to the area by partners from the UK. Food, hygiene supplies, clothing have already been donated to internally displaced persons residing in our area. The armoured vehicle will go to the need of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Thank you for your help! Your support is very important.”

The initiative was put in place by charity organisation Polish Association Gloucestershire and city councillor Alastair Chambers.
