Fraikin has now supplied 10 new car and van transporters – each 44-tonne DAF CF trucks with Rolfo tri-axle trailers – under full R&M contract, including six-weekly inspections, MOT testing, tyre management and 24/7 roadside assistance.
“We are delighted with our new transporters, supplied and delivered by Fraikin to Gefco Sheerness,” says Gefco UK finished vehicles logistics director John Stocker.
“We chose Fraikin because they were able to offer the service to support the complex needs of the vehicle transporter market, their ability to meet our precise Euro 6 vehicle specification requirements and the strength of their extensive maintenance network,” he adds.
Also key to securing the deal was Fraikin’s well proven support for some of the biggest commercial vehicle fleet operators in the UK.
Stocker also cites Fraikin’s service-orientated approach, which is expected to maximise Gefco UK’s fleet uptime, vehicle safety and compliance.
And he points to the Fraikin View web portal, which offers real-time management information on vehicle availability and compliance, as well as supporting planned maintenance scheduling.
When the contract concludes in 2022, the vehicles will be returned to Fraikin.
