Woodall Nicholson Guido Dumarey

Belgian industrial entrepreneur Guido Dumarey has acquired the Woodall Nicholson businesses of Coleman Milne, VCS Police, Mellor Bus, Treka Bus, Promech, and JM Engineering.

The Woodall Nicholson businesses were previously owned by WN Vtech Holdings. On 29 November, a report by The Bolton News confirmed that WN Vtech Holdings had gone into administration.

WN Vtech Holdings, based on Wigan Road at Hart Common in Westhoughton, reportedly announced that it has had to appoint administrators after experiencing challenges in its supply chain.

Teneo Financial Advisory appointed Daniel Smith and Julian Heathcote as administrators for WN Vtech Holdings and its subsidiary companies.

Woodall Nicholson will now be included in the family portfolio of Dumarey companies. With operations and subsidiaries in Belgium, France, Italy, China, and the UK, the Dumarey Group will be employing approximately 3,000 people at the start of 2024.

Guido Dumarey said: "This is an exciting acquisition for us. The Woodall Nicholson businesses have a strong market position and a disruptive product portfolio, as is evident in their robust order book. We're eager to collaborate with their talented teams to continue delivering innovative mobility solutions. This marks a significant step towards our commitment to shaping a future where environmentally conscious transportation is accessible to all."

The move is expected to present an opportunity for Dumarey companies to expand their market presence and enhance their overall capabilities. Dumarey will be supporting the management team in further developing the business and developing new products.
