Haldex braking systems R&D centre on track at MIRA 07 March 2014
Braking systems specialist Haldex's European R&D base, currently being built at MIRA Technology Park in Hinckley, is on track to open during the final quarter of this year (2014).
The new technical centre will include laboratory facilities as well as providing Haldex engineers with direct access to MIRA's test and engineering facilities.
"MIRA's test track is one of the most used test tracks within Haldex today," says Bo Annvik, president and CEO at Haldex, explaining the choice of location.
"With the new building in place, engineering and testing will be co-located, which will result in shorter development cycles and improved customer responsiveness," he adds.
"Haldex is a great addition to the fast developing technology cluster within the technology park, and we are delighted that several of the high tech jobs required at the site have already been filled," adds MIRA CEO George Gillespie.
