Harsh Peterborough facility The facility is based off the A47 at 58 The Causeway, Thorney

Harsh has opened a facility in Peterborough that offers a range of locally based sales and service activities while also further developing the company’s aftersales activities nationwide.

The facility is based off the A47 at 58 The Causeway, Thorney. With overall direction from business development manager Harry Hustler, the facility is managed by Matt Bryant and currently has a staff of four.

Bryant said: “In the last two years, Harsh has seen a rapid expansion of its business in the Eastern England, especially in East Anglia, the East Midlands and the Home Counties. Having our own facility here in the region will therefore be of real significance to local operators and hence further secure Harsh’s continued growth. By being close to the A1 we can also get to anywhere around north and east London within an hour.”

The Peterborough facility will offer bespoke hydraulic solutions for all types of trucks and trailers, supply and fit tractor wet kits and sheeting systems, instal and service tipping cylinders and provide general workshop repairs.

Additional to the large numbers of 8x4 rigids engaged in quarrying, the East Anglia and Lincolnshire areas also see 44 artics working with bulk trailers on agricultural duties or walking floors and vacuum tankers on recycling and waste work. This presents an opportunity for Harsh to supply and fit both wet kits to tractors as well as sheeting systems to tipping trailers.
