Heating company switches from Citroen with 227-strong Nissan order03 April 2014

Heating maintenance business PH Jones has taken delivery of 227 Nissan NV200 SE vans – one of Nissan's largest van orders.

The Runcorn-based business – a subsidiary of British Gas – trialled the vehicles for four weeks before placing the order to replace its existing fleet of Citroen Berlingo and Dispatch models.

The trial vans were fully equipped with racking, to test suitability for day-to-day operations.

This is a very large order for us, so it was important we undertook an intensive vehicle trial to ensure the vans would be fit for purpose," says Jon Marshall, PH Jones' fleet manager.

The new vehicles will cover approximately three million miles per year.
