Hendy boosts workshop productivity with r2c Online16 March 2018

Hendy Van & Truck is reporting improved efficiency and time savings of more than 50 hours per week after implementing r2c Online’s maintenance management platform for its Chandler’s Ford, Hampshire workshop.

The IVECO dealer wanted a digital system that would enable the workshop to boost productivity and minimise VOR (vehicle off road) time for customers.

“We can now quickly access paperwork and records for customers on demand, with real-time updates,” says Dan Pledger, assistant service manager.

“We’re able to communicate and collaborate with interactive operators. They then have better visibility of compliance and VOR time is reduced so are more likely to ask for work to be done, therefore increasing our workshop revenue – so it’s a win-win for both parties.”

Pledger says the system is easy to use and, as well as customer benefits, the improvements are stacking up in the workshop, too. “The paper side of admin is completely removed, which saves us 10% of our overall time in the workshop – across our team of techs, that’s over 50 hours a week.”

All administration tasks are now streamlined on the system, including scheduling, service sheets and workflows, which is boosting productivity and accountability across their team of technicians.

Pledger adds: “Defect reporting is now reliable and instant, with useful features like in-platform photo attachments and actionable defect alerts. I would definitely recommend r2c, it’s the best system I’ve used.”
