HVS (Hydrogen Vehicle Systems) has developed technology to serve as a precursor to the UK’s hydrogen electric heavy goods vehicle (HGV) set to be launched in 2023.

The zero-emission hydrogen fuel cell demonstrator vehicle is based on bespoke architecture.

The vehicle will use the same hydrogen-electric powertrain as its 40-tonne articulated tractor unit. The company will build its vehicles in the UK with its first HGV set to go on sale in 2025.
