Supplied by Guests Truck and Van, the vehicle is powered by Iveco’s Cursor 9 engine, producing up to 310bhp between 1,675 and 2,000 rpm, and up to 1,300 Nm of torque between 1,100 and 1,675 rpm. It also has a 12-speed fully automated EuroTronic transmission.
The truck’s rear-steering axle provides optimum manoeuvrability and it is fitted with an aluminium dropside body and HIAB crane.
Phil Barker, managing director of JT Matthews, says: “We took our first Iveco in 1988 and they’ve formed the mainstay of our fleet for many years – despite working them hard, we enjoy superb reliability.”
The latest acquisition will be used to transport roofing materials to JT Matthews’ customers within a 50-mile radius of its site in Bilston, West Midlands.
It is expected to cover 60,000km a year and will be serviced under a five-year R&M contract.
