Leading speakers announced for LowCVP Conference 2015 22 June 2015

Former MP, soldier and Polar adventurer turned smart cities specialist Dan Byles, and Christophe Arnaud, of Bluepoint London, have joined the impressive list of speakers for this Wednesday’s (24 June 2015) LowCVP Conference in London.

Entitled 'The Energy for Future Transport, this year's LowCVP (Low Carbon Vehicle Partnership) conference starts by focusing on how next weekend's final e-Prix in Battersea Park (27—28 June) might help make electric motoring mainstream.

Sponsored by EDF Energy, conference themes include future fuels for transport and the infrastructure required to support them, particularly in cities.

Speakers include: Edmund King, president of the AA; Vincent Geslin, of Renault; Pascal Couasnon, of Michelin; Sian Berry, of the Campaign for Better Transport; and FIA Formula E chief executive Alejandro Agag.

Other notables include: Richard Bruce, director, Office for Low Emission Vehicles (OLEV); Vincent Geslin, deputy programme director for Twizy and Kangoo Z.E, Renault; and Andrew Jones MP, Minister of State, Department for Transport.

LowCVP says this year's event will provide an opportunity for local policy makers to find out more about best practice in low-carbon road transport – particularly valuable for the 12 cities involved in OLEV's £35 million Go Ultra Low City Scheme for which final bids are due at the end of August.
