London gets concrete evidence of Volvo’s servicing 17 October 2012

London Concrete has described service levels at Volvo Truck and Bus Centre London as exceptional – and has invested in more models from the Swedish manufacturer.

Its latest additions are four Volvo FM11-370 8x4 chassis, with Liebherr 8m3 drums, to take London Concrete's commercial vehicle fleet to 86 mixers.

"All these trucks are on the top level five-year gold R&M contract, through Volvo Truck and Bus Centre London," states London Concrete production manager Douglas Antingham.

"Some of our franchised drivers are considering taking the seven-year option. It's a reflection of the service levels they're getting," he continues.

"Our drivers are starting to choose Volvo over the other brands we run, and that speaks volumes," he adds.

Antingham makes the point that in a robust transport sector where any issues need the fastest possible response, service levels "have to be 110%", and confirms that's what his fleet is getting.

The first four FM11 8x4s have been in service for six months and feedback from drivers has been very good. The only difference between these new trucks and the first four, is the fitment of Volvo's I-Shift automated gearboxes.
