MAN expands VOSA network in Felixstowe22 May 2012

MAN Truck & Bus Felixstowe has been appointed an official VOSA ATF (Authorised Testing Facility) for commercial vehicle MOT certification.

The ATF claims to offer local truck operators: extended testing hours; greater flexibility on booking test slots and reduced travelling time – leading to a reduction in downtime and, therefore, an increase in productivity.

"It makes our one-stop-shop offering even more appealing," says Gary Stannett, branch manager, at MAN Truck & Bus Felixstowe, "Flexibility is key here, and we can now book operators in at their convenience."

Stannett says that the shop recognises that Felixstowe is not at the centre of the UK's trunk route network, but insists that it is a strategic location for many freight-forwarders operating to and from mainland Europe through the Port.

"For those operators, a local ATF lane will be a distinct benefit," he says.

"In MAN Truck & Bus Felixstowe, we now have a modern, well-equipped local facility, with fully-trained staff who understand the importance of keeping well-maintained trucks on our roads," comments John Davies, head of UK service at MAN Truck & Bus UK.
