Manchetts’ Dyson SLa offers damage-free supercar rescue 27 April 2011

Following Manchetts Rescue & Recovery's purchase of a Roger Dyson slidebed recovery truck, supercar owners can rest assured that their prized possessions will be transported in safety.

Mounted on a 7.5-tonne Renault Midlum chassis, the Dyson Hydraloader 3000SLa offers a loading angle of just 4.9°.

Cambridgeshire-based Manchetts provides a collection and delivery service to owners of Aston Martin, Porsche, Nissan GT-R and other supercars requiring servicing and repair, or breakdown recovery and transportation.

The Dyson's SLa Super Low approach bed is designed to accommodate these prestige vehicle movements, although the fleet addition has already been used for general breakdown work during busy periods.

Director Sean Manchett says: "The Hydraloader SLa is perfect for the role of transporting low-slung sports cars. At its full extension the bed drops so low to the ground that there's no danger of damaging their bodywork when loading."

And he adds: "We've also had this one built in aluminium – a first for us – which saves a lot of weight and therefore boosts the vehicle's payload potential. It's very easy to use too, with single-lever operation."
