Mobile Services fleet adds extra Volvo car transporter 02 November 2011

Ellistown, Leicestershire-based car and light commercial vehicle transporters Mobile Services has taken its fourth new Volvo truck, an FM11-330 6x2 rigid.

Company director Tony Bradbury chose the Volvo for the long-term, and says he's planning to keep it working for 10 years. "It's only been on the road for six weeks, but it is doing a great job," he confirms.

"This FM 11-litre is the driver's first experience of an automated gearbox and he's taken to it straight away," adds Bradbury. "The driver training package we took from Volvo Truck and Bus Centre East Anglia was a smart move. It's helping him to get the best from his new I-Shift auto."

The new Volvo FM has been fitted with a tag axle and five-car carrier bodywork from specialist Belle Trailers of Great Dunmow. It will be operated with an additional single car trailer and was supplied with the low-roof sleeper cab option designed by Volvo for car car transporter work.
