More CV Show 2015 exhibitors break cover 02 March 2015

More major exhibitors have released details of products set to be unveiled at this year’s CV Show – this time including Iveco, Mercedes-Benz, Hiab, RAC Business, Intelligent Telematics and Total.

Iveco says it will offer visitors an insight into the future of LCV designs, with the Vision concept – featuring see-through front pillars and a rear-view camera displayed on a panoramic screen – making its UK debut at the CV Show.

As for current vehicle line-up, Iveco says included will be the new Daily, in .5 tonne, long wheelbase, high-roof guise, with its all-new Hi-Matic gearbox—the first eight-speed automatic transmission in a van of this class. Three will also be a trio of trucks, including Iveco's flagship Stralis Hi-Way tractor.

Moving on to Mercedes-Benz, among its stars of the CV Show will be the new Vito, also making its UK debut.

Steve Bridge, managing director, Mercedes-Benz Vans says all examples of the New Vito, on sale from 14 April, will be on display – from panel van to crew van, Tourer PRO and Tourer Select.

Mercedes-Benz Vans will also be showing the Citan small city van and the Sprinter, in all guises, while Mercedes-Benz Trucks will bring the firm's total vehicle display to more than 40. #

Meanwhile, Hiab, will be staging the finals of the first World Crane Championships at the CV Show, following qualification rounds over the last 12 months in 11 countries. Those competing to become the first World Crane Champion will manoeuvre a Hiab X-HiPro 192 through a series of obstacles, trying to beat a time set by the anonymous crane pro 'Eric', to win the €25,000 prize.

As for the RAC, its commercial breakdown team returns to this year to the CV Show following the roll-out of its Truck Rescue offer, which reports helping more than 100 customers in its first year.

RAC says it will have a new, enhanced offer for the trucking industry, building on its subscription-based Truck Rescue service, and the organisation's wider capabilities – which last year included recovering two bogged down diggers, including building a temporary road.

Elsewhere, Intelligent Telematics will launch a dual 3G vehicle camera system alongside the company's existing range of camera systems designed to help improve road safety, reduce insurance costs and improve driver behaviour.

Intelligent Telematics will also be working with partner Managed Fleet Services (MFS), which will be available throughout the CV Show to provide guidance on motor claims handling and "how fleet operators can significantly reduce insurance costs".

Finally, Total says it will be using this year's CV Show to demonstrate its "complete solutions", with products to help fleet managers run their businesses more effectively.

Show visitors will be able to ask about Total's range of fuel economy assisting lubricants, commercial fuels, fuel cards and additional 'added value' services.
