PSA partners Masternaut for connected telematics 29 September 2016

PSA Group and telematics specialist Masternaut have announced a partnership deal, which they say is aimed at helping businesses run safer, cleaner and more productive vehicle fleets.

The deal sees Masternaut Connect telematics platform becoming “more easily accessible” to European Peugeot, Citroën, DS connected cars and light commercial vehicles.

Masternaut’s says fleet operators will be able to better optimise the cost per mile of their vehicles, while also improving driver safety and reducing fleet carbon footprint.

PSA will make Masternaut telematics available through its Connect Fleet Management programme, while for mixed fleets, operators can use Masternaut’s CANBus technology.

Data from all vehicles can then be fed back in real-time for fleet managers to monitor fuel consumption, driver behaviour, emissions or geofencing, says Brigitte Courtehoux, head of the connected services at PSA Group.

“Working with Masternaut, we are providing a way for fleet managers to reduce their vehicle’s total cost of ownership,” she says.
