Removals firm packs more versatility with Ekeri01 August 2016

Jason Williams Removals has no regrets about shunning a conventional box body vehicle for an Ekeri solution – the five-year-old vehicle has had no problems throughout operation and the company has recently exhibited the workhorse at the All Wales Truck & Transport Show.

Jason Williams, owner of the Carmarthenshire-based operator, says the Ekeri body was an easy choice to make.

“The Ekeri body has six doors which open along the near-side and a tuck-away Zepro tail lift for loading through the rear tail flap. This combination, along with the internal load locking bars and multiple strapping points, make the vehicle far more flexible and easier to load than any ordinary removals lorry.”

He adds: “Pallets, individual items, mixed loads, all have plenty of internal space and because of the locking bars and the solid construction, there’s no body flexing during transit.

“Certainly, the time and money which we have saved using this vehicle means we would not consider buying anything else.”

Each time the Mercedes-Benz Actros cab is serviced, the bodywork, doors and joints are checked over and, reports Williams, nothing has needed any attention in the five years it’s been on the road. “And believe me,” he adds, “this vehicle works hard.”
