Robin Liquid Waste selects Renault Range K 32-tonne tanker 12 January 2016

Robin Liquid Waste Disposal has taken delivery of a new Renault Range K460 32-tonne rigid and is planning to order another.

The new 8x4 joins the Kent-based company’s four-strong fleet of tankers and has been mounted with a bespoke VJ Engineering 4,200 gallon vacuum tanker with a Jurop 520cfm pump.

Director Robin Neal explains that previously favourable experiences with approved dealer Renault Trucks Essex and the previous Kerax truck were key factors in this vehicle choice.

“I needed an additional reliable vehicle to cope with the extra demand [and] the Renault Trucks Range K came up trumps,” states Neal.

“[The truck] offers excellent strength and ground clearance, which are essential for the work we do,” he continues.

“Composting sites and farmers’ fields can get sticky, but the Range K is an absolute powerhouse off road... We can get on and off the fields easily without getting towed off.”

Neal says he’s had Renault trucks from its local dealer before and has a good working relationship with the firm.

We’ve also found Renault trucks to be extremely reliable vehicles and they work well for us,” he adds.

“Our drivers think the Range K is easier to drive than a car and there’s even been some driver jealously,” he enthuses.

“The inside is better, it looks good, pulls well and has plenty of power. It just does the job and you can’t fault it.

“Overall, I’ve been so impressed that I’m looking to order an additional vehicle.”
