Sentinel Systems unveils new brand identity16 July 2019

Commercial vehicle safety company Sentinel Systems has unveiled a new brand identity, marking one year since the previously family-run business was acquired by private investor John Little.

The new logo carries the strapline ‘specialists in vehicle safety’ to better reflect the Gloucestershire-based company’s expansion over the years from reversing systems to all types of vehicle safety technology.

Little is now managing director of the firm. He says: “While the company still offers reversing systems, these are greatly enhanced from the early days and now use radar or ultrasonic sensor technology. But today the most popular products are camera and recording systems, so we wanted our new identity to show that our real focus is on overall vehicle safety.”

Sentinel says innovation is underpinning continued growth, with enhancements to its award-winning Bike Hotspot system at the forefront.

It is also expanding its fleet management software with encrypted data analytics and offering host companies video footage in the cloud.

Sentinel’s systems are now hosted on Microsoft Azure, which enables live video and instant uploads to review on the platform at any time.

The company says it is also trialling a new camera platform, and is looking to expand its safety systems beyond road commercial vehicles to industrial plant, mining and quarrying vehicles.
