September launch for Iveco’s latest Daily van 15 August 2011

Iveco is preparing for the latest evolution of its light commercial vehicle range, with the arrival of a new Daily model next month (September 2011).

In its latest form, Iveco maintains that the New Daily "retains its core qualities of strength, reliability, efficiency and versatility, while adding new, high-efficiency engines that offer more power, combined with refinements both economically and ecologically".

Power now comes from a range of engines, including FPT Industrial's new 3-litre Euro 5 diesel, offering 205bhp and 470Nm, and the 2.3-litre 320Nm torque version with a new Multijet II multi-event fuel injection system sais to optimises combustion.

Safety enhancements on New Daily include daytime running lights and a new fog light cornering feature to ensure that drivers can see and be seen even in the worst driving conditions.

New Daily retains full coverage from 3.5 to 7.0 tonnes gvw, allowing for what Iveco calls a competitive payload of up to 4.7 tonnes and, for van models, a loading volume of up to 17.2m3.

The vans also retain their full range of engines and fuel sources, including natural gas and electric drive configurations.

The New Daily will be launched in the UK from November 1, 2011, at which time full details of the UK model line-up and specifications will be made available.
