Totalkare has helped add a Class 7 MOT bay to a Fiveways Hire workshop in Basildon, Essex.

Fiveways Hire is a municipal vehicles supplier that specialises in the hire of refuse collection vehicles, hook lifts, rear-end and front-end loaders, skip lorries and tippers within the UK.

The MOT bay includes a light commercial four post lift with a 6,500kg capacity. It also has a 6-metre length platform with built-in play detection plates, which save room by eliminating the need for a separate application and time by allowing the user to perform the test while the vehicle is on the lift.

The light commercial four post lift has been recessed into the floor for a flush fit making best use of space in the MOT bay. Fiveways Hire can use the area taken by the lift as standing room when using the in-ground brake tester. With a 6,000kg maximum axle load and the latest Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency active template library software, Totalkare’s Class 7 brake tester has a number of features, including vehicle weighing and four wheel drive testing.

Totalkare will support Fiveways Hire new MOT bay with a service contract which includes two engineer visits for service and calibration per year.
