Training to take centre stage at next month’s CV Operator Show03 March 2010

Training is vital for any transport organisation, both heavy duty truck operators and van fleets.

That's the message from the RHA (Road Haulage Association), which is urging transport engineers and fleet managers to go to this year's Commercial Vehicle Operator Show. at Birmingham's NEC from 13—15 April. to find out more.

Steve Ellis, RHA head of national training, makes the point that legislation seems to change on an almost daily basis, so the association will be providing advice from its own dedicated division, which covers all aspects of training including health and safety, Driver CPC, Rescue and Recovery DCPC and the Professional Driver Update 2010.

"The 'Managing Your Operators Licence' course is proving particularly popular with owners, directors and managers all gaining the benefit of seven hours approved training towards their own Driver CPC needs," comments Ellis.

Other exhibitors able to advise on training matters include: the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (stand 5932), CRH Transport Training (5678), easyCPC.com (5259), the Freight Transport Association (5850), Launch X-431 (4328), Roadtech (5855), S&B Automotive Academy (5618), Tachodisc (5774) and Wiltshire Transport Training (5464).

Additionally, the IRTE (Institute of Road Transport Engineers – another of the CV Operator Show partners) says it will be on hand to discuss its increasingly popular technician licensing scheme irtec on stand 5750.
