Volvo Buses sells 310 coaches to JCA Group 08 April 2013

Volvo Buses has sold 310 coach chassis to the JCA Group, one of Brazil's largest passenger transport companies. The deal represents the biggest to date in Brazil by Volvo, in terms of coaches.

The buses, which will be delivered in May, are all B340Rs 4x2s, with the 340bhp power plant. The coach bodies will be built by Marcopolo.

The B340R is also factory equipped with the intelligent ABS/EBS brake system, which, together with the 390bhp engine brake, delivers increased safety on downhill stretches. I-Shift gearbox technology also features, helping to reduce fuel consumption by a claimed up to 5%.

The new coaches will be used in interstate and intrastate medium and short distance routes, as well as charter operations.
