Weightlifter/PPG tippers out in force at Tip-ex 2013 30 May 2013

Tipper manufacturer Weightlifter/PPG is hoping to impress the strength, durability and light weight of its products at the Tip-ex show in Harrogate today (30 May 2013).

The company will have three eight-wheelers on display: one on its own stand, a second on the Edbro stand and the third on the Harsh stand.

On the Weightlifter stand, visitors can expect to see a 5,100mm wheelbase Volvo FM 8x4 with day cab. Fitted with a PPG Smoothline insulated body, it has been equipped with an Edbro CX15 hydraulic ram, Vishay PM 1155 four cell weigher and a Dawbarn hydroclear sheeter.

On the Edbro stand, Weightlifter will show a Scania P420 8x4 sleeper cab rigid with a 5,300mm wheelbase. This, too, has a PPG Lightweight Smoothline insulated body, this time with air lifting and locking horizontally split tailgate, with two hatches and removable screw clamps. An Edbro CX14 hydraulic ram, Vishay PM1155 four cell weigher and Dawbarn hydroclear sheeter complete its specification.

Over at Harsh, there is a Renault Lander, sleeper-cabbed 5,645mm wheelbase 8x4 tipper. This truck comes with a Weightlifter hollow interlocking alloy plankside body, with air-actuated locking bar on the tailgate. It has a Harsh K110 under-floor hydraulic ram, Vishay PM1300 four cell weigher and reversing camera and a Harsh Roll 'n' Go automatic sheeter.
