WN Vtech Holdings, based on Wigan Road at Hart Common in Westhoughton, reportedly announced that it had to appoint administrators after experiencing challenges in its supply chain.
The company manufactures vehicles and specialises in electric vehicles and alternative fuels.
Teneo Financial Advisory has appointed Daniel Smith and Julian Heathcote as administrators for WN Vtech Holdings and its subsidiary companies.
These include WN Vtech, Treka Bus, Vehicle Conversion Specialists, Promech Technologies and JM Engineering (Scarborough).
In the meantime, it is believed that all businesses involved will continue to trade as normal.
